Look familiar?

We've all been there.

You're on the bunny hill, your little one is crying, you're sweating through your base layer, and someone just skied over your pole. Teaching a kid to ski is one of the most rewarding things you'll ever do — and one of the most chaotic.

What if you could take speed out of the equation? What if your little one could focus on balance, turning, and actually having fun — while you stayed in control?

That's exactly what Snap Two Ski was built for.

Meet the Snap Two Ski Tethers.

How it's different

Meet the Snap Two Ski Tethers.

Most ski harnesses wrap around a child's chest and waist — putting the grown-up in control of everything, including the child's body. Snap Two is different.

By attaching to the ankles, Snap Two lets your little one move freely, find their balance, and start building real ski movements from day one. You hold the tether, you manage the speed — they do the skiing.

It's a simple idea with a profound result. Kids who feel free learn faster. Kids who learn faster have more fun. And kids who have fun on the mountain? They come back for the rest of their lives.

When kids can let the turns control their speed, they can ski parallel earlier and build real skills right from the start. More turns, more learning, more fun. That's a win.

“This product is the absolute best for getting young children out skiing. Once my children could walk without holding onto something, they were ready to start skiing with me!”

“The Snap Two straps helped my kids make huge gains in confidence and ability after just 1–2 uses. They force the kid to balance on their own versus relying on a chest harness. Would highly recommend to any parent!”

“As a ski instructor, I've guided parents on the Snap Two Ski system for almost 10 years. It's the perfect way to teach a preschooler to ski parallel and use turns to slow down from day one.”
Allison S. · Ski instructor
“They gave our 5-year-old the confidence and support she needed to learn quickly while still making skiing fun. Within a short time she went from beginner runs to confidently skiing blue runs on her own!”

“So much fun to get the grandkids on skis at age 3 when we can ski together and in control. They feel like they're doing it themselves after just a few runs — and it's way less stressful for the adult.”
Beth J. · Grandparent
“It allowed him freedom to move and ski at his pace while keeping him in control. The tethers were super easy to use and convenient getting on and off the chairlifts. Highly suggest for anyone teaching young skiers.”

“As an instructor of children ages 3–6 I absolutely love the Snap Two Ski tethers. They give kids the freedom to ski on their own with the safety of the tethers and adult behind them. Takes seconds to snap a child in!”
Lindsay D. · Ski instructor
“My youngest learned to ski with Snap Two tethers. Even as he became independent I could still keep him safe on busy days — make quick stops, adjust speed. I loved it so much I became an instructor!”
Tania · Parent & instructor
“My five-year-old went from total beginner to a confident skier well beyond the bunny hill — I credit this system entirely. What sets it apart is that it actually teaches real skiing technique. I recommend it to every parent who will listen.”

Three simple steps

How it Works

Click It

Attach the ankle pieces to your little one's boots. Buckles on the outside, tether pointing back toward you. They can stay on all day.

Rip It

Clip the control tether at the top of each run and hold both sides with equal tension. You manage the speed — they manage the skiing.

Love It

Go slow, go straight, and let them lead. Focus on fun and the turns will come. If they want to come back tomorrow, you've already won.

25 Years in the Making

Our roots

25 Years in the Making

Snap Two Ski didn't start in a boardroom. It started on a bunny hill in Minnesota, where a ski instructor named Pizza Pam Farmer had a simple idea — give kids more freedom on the mountain, not less. That idea grew into the Hot Cocoa Club, a beloved Twin Cities program that has introduced thousands of families to the joy of skiing over the past 25 years. Now it's your turn.

Your turn

Make memories that last a lifetime.

Every run builds confidence. Every turn becomes a story. And every ski day with your little one is one you'll never get back — so don't spend another season watching from the lodge.

You handle the tether; they get to just ski. That's how a kid falls in love with the mountain for life.

Ski safe. Have fun. Drink hot cocoa.
